Meet "Bad Bob"
Bob Reynolds – winner of the 2022 Anchorage Fur Rendezvous "Mountain Goat" beard contest – has been growing beards on and off for more than 50 years. After supposedly retiring in 2015, he started growing longer beards and began tinkering with beard oil ingredients to combat Alaska's dry, cold, windy and otherwise unforgiving climate. He tried and tested many formulations, judging each on various aspects including hydration, softness, control, scent, and whether or not his wife liked the results.
What he discovered was a formula that works exceptionally well in harsh conditions and smells great, too. And Bad Bob's Alaskan Beard Products was born.
Bob lives in Eagle River, Alaska, with his wife Hope and their Bernese mountain dog, Reggie. (No mountain dogs were used in testing his products!)
